Position Overview
Do you have aspirations to run your own business? If so, you may want to consider working in the office of Rick Mottern - State Farm Agent. As a member of our agency team, you have an opportunity to experience first-hand what it takes to be a State Farm Agent. You will build and develop customer relationships within the community to promote State Farm products including auto, home and life insurance. This position will allow you to experience working in an agent's office and to explore the opportunity to become a State Farm agent yourself.
Responsibilities
- Provide need-based customer reviews focused on educating and advising customers about their insurance options
- Serve as primary contact for customers to answer questions, adjust policies, add new policies, and make policy changes to accommodate individual customer needs
- Work with a team of highly trained insurance representatives to build leads and seek potential marketing opportunities
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
- Maintain a strong work ethic to reach self – determined daily goals to match the overall company objectives
- Work well in both an individually motivated and team oriented work environment

Requirements
- Sales and/or Customer Service experience in a professional work environment strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of work experience strongly preferred
- A history of successful experience matching and meeting business goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
- Proactive in problem solving
- Dedicated to customer service
- Able to learn computer functions
- Pride in getting work done accurately and timely
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
- Provide timely and thorough activity reports to agent
- Property & Casualty license (must be able to obtain)
- Life and Health license (must be able to obtain)
- Selected candidate is expected to remain current in product changes, licensing, technical developments, and continuing education

Compensation $45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
